Aguadulce evokes the charm of an era bygone; the time where great landowners lived in their estates called 'Cortijos". Much thought has been put into its design: traditional design with all the modern amenities. Country estates are all designed around courtyards, welcoming sheltered places from the hot sun or colder winds in the winter. Aguadulce is no exception and features many courtyards with the pleasant sound of running water through various fountains. Cobbled stones, some inlaid with intricate patterns, century old doors, a herb garden, vegetable garden, a wisteria shaded porch for lazy afternoons, hand wrought iron balconies all help to make this a superb background for entertaining or simply enjoying the magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea, the coast of Africa, the mountains or the adjacent golf courses built around the protected heritage stone ‘Arqueros” towers. The main house or 'noble' house is situated around the central courtyard featuring century old orange trees and 2 fountains. It can also be accessed by the traditional 'Zaguan' through another courtyard, which is graced by an enormous old olive tree, sweeping views of the landscape and the comforting sounds of another fountain. Upon entering the Zaguan we find on the right a separate guestroom with en suite Haman-style bathroom and deep bath and to the left the main entrance. Here we find the hall, built-in cloakrooms, guest bathroom, staircase and under stairs wine cellar.A TV room, vast Living room, and a cathedral ceiling kitchen, dining room. These are all built south, southwest with a wisteria-covered porch running the entire façade. The kitchen boasts two different porches: one with a fountain overlooking the Mediterranean and one with a fixed roof overlooking the ancient tower of Los Arqueros, the golf courses rolling hills and distant mountains. Through double doors one may access the herb garden or the library, which seats 4 comfortably. A study or playroom and finally the laundry room with built-in storage for linen and a separate closed patio with fountain for laundry drying conveniently out of view.Through the garden a separate guest suite with en-suite bathroom overlooks the Alhambra inspired vegetable garden with apple and fig trees and on the other side the 15 meter heated pool. We also find a pool house, a pool guest bathroom, outdoor shower& BBQ area as well as a big tool room where a cistern is housed for separate sweet and drinking water. Furthermore there is a staff house consisting of a patio, living room / kitchen / bedroom and bathroom. On the first floor we find the master bedroom with en suite dressing and bathroom.
