Construction was completed in 1999 and opened for the millenium as a boutique hotel with seven large en-suite bedrooms, south facing and all with views of the Mediterranean, the mountains, the village and historic church, home to the illustrious Gálvez family. It was the birthplace of Bernardo de Gálvez, Viceroy of the Americas and hero of the American war of Independence. The village is twinned with Pensacola, Florida, and each year a delegation from Pensacola visits it to pay homage to Bernardo de Gálvez, whose monument and statue in bronze dominate the entrance to the village. The hotel is situated just 10 minutes drive from the coast at the popular resort of Rincón de la Victoria, 30 minutes from Malaga International Airport and the city of Málaga. Constructed area is 400m approx., plus garage/workshop, laundry, pool male and female toilets, pump house, registered well plus 170,000 litres of water storage. Solar heated swimming pool 12 m x 6 m: Bar/restaurant with extensive terrace area with capacity for 100+ covers, plus site for marquee. The hotel was closed on the 31st December, 2011, for the owners’ retirement and the property has been used as their prívate residence since then. The hotel is stilll fully registered with the Tourism department of the Junta de Andalucía with all licences in order and the website is operational. In 2006 plans were drawn and approved by Urbanismo of the Junta de Andalucía and the Ayuntamiento to create “Club del Campo” (Country Club), extending the existing Hotel and constructing 36 apartments of 120 m2, all with sea and mountain views, recreation areas with bowling green, cafetería, gym etc., linked to the Hotel. The property is maintained in first class order throughout and is sold fully furnished and equipped.
